THE BRIEF

Work with IMG Media to create the complete 2008 Slamball Championships based at Universal Studios in California.

THE EXECUTION

NRG transformed an empty parking lot into a fully functional Slamball arena complete with elevated seating for 500, VIP viewing platform and television production facilities.

NRG was responsible for all of the onsite production including all infrastructure, onsite utilities, permitting, branding, props + equipment rentals, VIP hospitality and staffing.

THE RESULTS

Seven day television production culminating in the production of (8) 1hr shows that aired on Versus and a 1hr finale show that aired on CBS in November 2008.

Slamball is best described as a mix of basketball and ice hockey.
