ABRREVIATED LIFE HISTORY:

Raised in Mexico City. Learned to kick a soccer ball while learning to walk. Called timeouts during our neighborhood games to let cars pass. Moved to the beautiful city of Cuernava as a teenager. Discovered a passion for numbers and riddles. Attended a national math competition. Signed my first pro soccer contract at 17. Played with many teams in many cities throughout Mexico and Peru. Graduated with a degree in Economics from Latin American University in Guadalajara. Met a beautiful woman at a stop light in Culiacan. Proposed to her three months later. Honeymooned in Thailand, Hong Kong and Indonesia. Must have been away too long as my team dispersed while I was gone. Began an indoor soccer career with the Chicago Storm. Coached several different clubs. Joined the Rockford Rampage. Joined the NRG team to work the Joga Bonito Campaign and Nike Open Field Nights. Realized they were as passionate about soccer as I am. Stayed on the NRG team to lead the Nike FC Magia Team Chicago as an ambassador of soccer for Nike in the Chicago Area. Discovered overwhelming joy with the birth of my son.

SIMPLE LIFE PLEASURES:

My family. Soccer. The Triple T: Tacos, Tortas and Tamales. A nice beach. A great book. Bachata. Summer in Chicago. Mexico's World Cup Championship. Mariachi. Watching children get excited about soccer. My son's laughter. My wife's smile.
